April Releases on The Farm!!! :)

Supplies: Colored in Copics, hair also colored in Prisma Pencils and a white gel pen/ For her tail, I first colored in Copics, then mixed TACKY GLUE with MATTE MEDIUM VARNISH (just a tiny bit of each), which I then brushed on her already copic colored tail. Before that dried, I sprinkled BIG, iridescent plastic glitter all over the glue/matte medium mixture. The glitter is hard to see in the picture, but it gives it that scaly, shiny look. I think it would be fun to experiment with sequins, different glitters, and even diamond stickles for her tail!/The burlap in the background is from the floral department at Michaels. I am sure a variety of netting or fabrics would look great and give Syren that authentic, mermaid feel.

Introducing the Seductive "Syren" by TGF! Wowza!

Hello Everyone!

The new Greeting Farm "Syren" release is so very special and exciting! I love beautiful, mysterious characters with big hair! Who doesn't?

For her hair colors, first I colored her hair with copics C9, C7, C5, C3 which are the colors I would usually use to create black hair. Then I added RV04, RV09 and V09 OVER IT ALL to give her purple streaks and that overall fuchsia glow.

For her fish scale texture on her merbody, I sprinkled some old fashioned snow flake glitter onto some glue/matte medium mix (which I painted on her merhalf).

Thank You for checking out this lovely lady!

Have a lovely day!

Love,

Buttercup :) xoxo

Monochromatic March Madness with TGF!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Farm Fresh Friday! Today we are celebrating March Madness by making a monochromatic card or project using The Greeting Farm stamps! I chose to keep my colored image separate from the monochromatic papers and patterns. Yes, her bathing suit is orange but I refrained from "oranging up" her skin and hair.

"Cheeky Beach" is SUPERCUTE and makes me long for a day on the beach!

Happy Crafting Everyone! Know you are welcome to share your Monochromatic March Madness cards with everyone at TGF's Splendid Stamping Blog here.

Going Gothic with Tiddly Ink's!!!

Please scroll down for Farm Fresh Fridays with The Greeting Farm. Thank You :)

Hello Everyone and Welcome!

It is a privilege to create, to make cards and to share them with whoever cares to look. Thank You for being here. My hope is you find some inspiration, and leave with a smirk, if not a smile ;) ;) And that you don't leave "TAINTED & HEARTBROKEN" as the two gals in these cards below.

"Tainted" and "Heartbroken" are two of my new favorite digital stamps designed by Christy Croll at Tiddly Ink's! "Tainted" represents that strong girlfriend that doesn't let you sit on the couch and cry in you Cheerios after you go through a tough breakup. Tainted is the girl that rips off your comforter, and makes you go out there, ride a motorcycle and save the World while you're at it! "Heartbroken", on the other hand, is the girl who is crying in her Cheerios, who forgot her coffee in the microwave, left her icecream in the bathtub, and hates couples in commercials because, "they're too happy!". I believe we each have a little Tainted and a little Heartbroken in all of us. But overall, I would say we're a well adjusted, full hearted bunch! ;)

As you can see, I am on a Feather Trend right now! I am loving feather extensions in people's hair and that whole feathery look! And this trend has made it's way into these 2 cards! Why not mix up fashion, card making, drama, all of it up!? Go for it! Go Big!

Thank You for stopping by!

Buttercup :) xoxo

Color Challenge FFF with TGF's "Dee Dee"

Hey Hey!!!

DEE DEE! I love her! And this is my first creation using this sweet little gal! When hearing of this Farm Fresh Friday's color challenge: Apricot, Turquoise & Spring Green, I instantly thought Dee Dee would look AWESOME in these fun springy colors! And she does!

colorcombos.jpg

About the Coloring: For her hair, I wanted to give it a slightly comic book feel with those deep blue highlights! In order to achieve that blue/black hair, I used Copic Markers C9, C5, C3, C2 and B39. Skin: E13, E35, E37, Eoo & E000 (for eyebrows)/ Cheeks: added to the original skin color: RV04, R85, R81, Rvoo. Eyes (shadows on the eyeballs) : C3, C1. Clothes: G21, G82, YG41, YG95/ YR61, Yooo, YR21, YR23, YR24/BG02, BG05

Enjoy this Color Challenge! One lucky winner will receive one single TGF stamp of their choice! FUN!

Use Up Your X-mas Stash this FFF with TGF

Hello Everyone!

Christmas is SO "Last Year" isn't it? It seems like it was so long ago but it was really just a couple months ago! Still, like many of you, I may have a little extra holiday flare hanging out in my scrap paper bins!!! Thinking, "Oh, I'll use this NEXT year!" and maybe I will! ;)

This Farm Fresh Friday, The Greeting Farm challenges us to bust out our holiday papers, trims, tapes, brads, glitter, buttons-ANYthing holiday-y, and put it to good use on a project for either today, or maybe this Christmas!? Have fun with it! I personally enjoy making an "out of season" card. It's nice to play with snow and gingerbread images, just to go take a stroll in the warm sun...

For my card, I used "Miss Anya Dressy" by The Greeting Farm. I love aprons! Different aprons for cooking, cleaning, painting and crafting! Here, Miss Anya has just finished tasting her batch of freshly made gingerbread men! Yum!

Happy Farm Fresh Friday to you all!

And Good Luck! As one lucky participant will with a Cheeky Beach stamp!!!

Have a fabulous day!

Love,

Buttercup :) xo
